Friends That Care is about friends raising money to help kids. Funds raised go directly toward matching children with carefully-screened, caring Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers.

Message from Former Board President and Big Brother Don Kendall:
I woke up the other morning inspired. I had a vision of a community where all my friends, family, neighbors, and business associates came together to help provide mentors to the children of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
I thought about how many folks I encounter everyday, and if I asked them to give just a $25.00 donation, what a difference it would make… I then imagined how many kids in need of a mentor could have their lives positively changed by such small acts of compassion.
I also thought about how a lot if these children don’t feel like they have anyone pulling for them, that their future at this point seems uncertain, and they lack an adult friend that simply cares about them. I want to be that friend, a friend that cares, and I’ll bet you do, too.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee served 2,250 children in 2008 and is currently on track to serve 2,500 children in 2009.
With this vision in mind, I urge you to join me in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters and becoming a “Friend that Cares” to a Middle Tennessee child in need of a positive role model. With your support we can make a difference.
